RESPECT and MATURITY are required for all members. Treat each other with respect, kindness and maturity. Fighting and out of character disputes are not tolerated within the forum, and must be dealt with outside of the community. Please do not harass staff members to review your biography, because our dedicated team will review it as soon as possible. Please report any issues to a staff member immediately. The staff team is dedicated to assisting you with anything site-related.

SPELLING and GRAMMAR are a must. Please make use of your spell check, dictionary.com and other helpful resources to ensure your posts are grammatically correct. A mistake here and there is easily overlooked, but each member should strive for literacy.

ART THEFT is strictly prohibited. You must give credit to the artists who have provided your stock images, whether that be on the image itself or within your profile or signature is entirely up to you. Keep in mind that some artists require credit be given on the actual image. Please refer to stock rules before using someone’s work. Art theft will result in a staff member giving you a written warning. Failure to give credit after the warning will result in removal of the offending piece and termination of the player’s account.

TABLES, AVATARS and GRAPHICS are encouraged but not required. If you decide to use them, they cannot stretch the forum whatsoever. Avatar dimensions cannot exceed a width of 145px and a height of 250px. Signature dimensions cannot exceed a width of 500px and a height of 180px. Tables cannot exceed a width of 500px.

The WORD MINIMUM is 200 words per post. Please feel free to make posts as long as you wish, as long as they exceed the 200 word minimum.

This is a ONE CHARACTER PER ACCOUNT roleplay, which means that you must register an account for every individual character you roleplay. Please change your account name and gender to match that of your character.

SWEARING is allowed both out of character and in character, but must be kept to a minimum. SEXUAL CONTENT is not permitted on the site, and VIOLENT CONTENT must be marked with a “Violent Content” warning. Images and text featuring extreme gore is not allowed, nor is any racist, hateful or derogatory content permitted anywhere on the site.

ACTIVITY is a requirement, and being active is a standard in roleplay. Everyone needs to understand that every roleplayer has a life to live, so patience and understanding is important. You are welcome to take a hiatus at any time, but please support your absence in character with a journey or absence to prevent holes in roleplay. Emergency leave requires no action. Character accounts that have not posted in three months will receive a warning. If no post is made 2 weeks following the warning, the account will be terminated. This keeps the site census accurate and frees up names, rank positions and space. Terminated accounts will result in an in character departure, which may include death, disappearance or exile. This is done to prevent gaps in roleplay.

There is a FIVE CHARACTER LIMIT in place, and activity checks will ensure that activity is maintained. Additional characters can be purchased at the Den of Ancients.

After a MONTH WITHOUT POSTING A BIOGRAPHY, unused accounts will be deleted.

We are a COMMUNITY, so get to know each other and have fun!

CHARACTERS MUST BE ACCEPTED BEFORE YOU ROLEPLAY, so please post a character application within the Tribunal category and await acceptance or denial before posting in the In Character section.

WOLVES must be realistic, and must conform to the site’s Realm Directory and Creation Guide. All wolves are 100% wild, so no human influence is allowed.

HUMAN INFLUENCE is strictly prohibited. They do not exist in Primeval.

BREEDING is allowed only during the winter and spring seasons. If you choose to roleplay the breeding, please use the “fade to black” technique and feel free to continue it off the site. Graphic breeding is not allowed on the boards. Litters must be applied for in the appropriate board, and litter information is approved by staff members. When applying for a litter, please fill out the application and have roleplayers for the offspring selected prior to applying. Planning and organization is the key to success.

AGING occurs with the seasons, so be sure to update your biography when it occurs. Every character should age in the winter.

SEASONS will last three months. The duration of NATURAL DISASTERS will be determined by the staff members to accommodate everyone’s characters and plotline.

To CREATE A PACK you must apply using at the appropriate board with the given application form, and be sure to arrange the required 5 roleplayers prior to applying. A pack can only be created if there is a slot available.

POWERGAMING, GODMODING and AUTOHITTING are strictly prohibited on Primeval.

LIQUIDTIME is encouraged here. Liquid time is when a character is active in multiple threads at once.

WOLFPSEAK is ABSOLUTELY NOT permitted here. Pillars are not legs, and a wolf’s tail is not a pendulum. We encourage the use of descriptive words and literacy, but you are required to use those words correctly. Please refer to this link for more information. Wolfspeak covers words such as "orbs", "audits", "brujo", "pillars", and other similar words.

NAMES must be real names or words. Please refrain from naming your character “LAVAPAWS WOLF”, and do not include numbers in account names.

FIGHTING is allowed and encouraged, but please post a violent content warning in the thread title. Ranks can only be acquired through battle, or dominance and submission rituals. The outcome of the fight is determined by the roleplayers, and they can predetermine the outcome if they desire. The fight will be moderated by a staff member to prevent autohitting, powergaming and unfairness.

You are encouraged to CREATE YOUR OWN PLOT within Primeval’s set storyline. If your plot is major enough to influence the site as a whole, you must submit an application in the appropriate board for the administrator to review it.

LONE WOLVES will be limited. Any wolf that wishes to start as a lone wolf and roleplay joining a pack is given one month to do so. Permanent lone wolves must be approved by the administrator, and a limited amount will be allowed.

The set TERRITORIES within Primeval cannot be claimed, and will remain neutral. As packs move in, they must provide an image to be used for their very own pack board. Territory can be fought for, and claimed if the intruders are successful during the invasion. The pack that fails to defend it's home must either move to an unoccupied location, fight for a claimed territory, or disband. Each pack automatically has the right to hold it's territory for one month, unchallenged, once they claim it.

Wolves with the SIGHTLESS EYE are fairly rare. If you would like to apply as a wolf with Sightless Eye, include it in your character application and the staff member reviewing it will let you know if you may play one or not. For the most part, each pack may have one wolf with the sightless eye, possibly two. Terrasyn is the only exception because they are a highly spiritual pack, and have a greater chance of developing it or being born with it. You may purchase the Sightless Eye in the store for a high price, and have your character develop the ability. For more information on who the enlightened wolves are, and whether or not you are able to create one, please refer to the Sightless Eye Directory.

I again want to express the importance of CREATING YOUR OWN PLOT, because this is a "write your own story" community. Make sure it coincides with Primeval's current central storyline. Basic plots do not need to be approved if they only influence you, your pack and your roleplay buddies. If they influence the entire community, you must have it approved. There is very little that will prevent your major plot from being approved, so please do not hesitate to get it reviewed!
